How long until I get my photos?

You'll see a private proofing gallery within a few business days of the shoot so you can start favoriting selects while the session is fresh. Final edited images typically follow within one to two weeks depending on volume and how much retouching the set needs. If you have a hard deadline — a launch, an event, a print run — tell us before the shoot and we'll build the schedule around it, including rushing a small batch of hero images ahead of the full delivery so you're never waiting on the whole set.

Do I own the photos and can I use them in ads?

Yes. Everything we shoot for you is delivered with usage rights for your website, social media, print, and paid advertising, at full resolution with no per-use fees and no expiry you have to track. That's a real difference from stock licensing or some freelance contracts where social use is included but paid media costs extra. The one thing we ask is that you don't resell the raw files to a third party, and we may use selected images in our own portfolio unless you'd rather we didn't — just say so.

What if the weather is bad on shoot day?

For outdoor and exterior work we watch the forecast and make a call together the day before rather than gambling on the morning. Rescheduling for weather doesn't cost you anything — we'd rather move the date than deliver flat, grey images you won't use. Overcast light is genuinely excellent for portraits and product work, so grey skies alone aren't a reason to postpone; heavy rain, high wind, or poor visibility are. If the shoot is interior, weather is irrelevant and we proceed as planned.

How many images do I actually need for social media?

Fewer per shoot than people expect, but more variety than they plan for. A single half-day session producing thirty to fifty finished assets can carry six to eight weeks of consistent posting if the shot list was built deliberately — different framings, verticals, close-up detail shots, and a few with negative space for text overlays. What kills a library isn't quantity, it's sameness: forty photos taken in one corner at one time of day all look like the same post. We build the shot list to avoid exactly that.

Yes, and combining them is usually the most cost-effective way to book. The practical constraint is lighting setup: portraits and product work want different arrangements, so we block the day into segments rather than switching back and forth. That means we'll ask your team to arrive within a specific window instead of drifting in across the afternoon.
